Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Upon arrival, you will be received and welcomed by our company tour guide and later hit the road for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP – Uganda via the Rwanda – Uganda border crossing into Uganda via the Katuna Border; En route, take in the beautiful scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands before proceeding with your drive to Queen Elizabeth NP and later check in at your lodge. Enganzi Safari Lodge / Simba Safari Lodge(Budget), Elephant Safari Lodge(Midrange), Mweya Safari Lodge( Luxury).
Day 2: Kalinzu Chimps Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi NP
Following your breakfast, embark on an amazing hunt for the chimpanzees through Kalinzu forest ; rewarding you with wonderful views of the Escarpment, Mt Rwenzori and several wildlife species, return midmorning to your lodge and get ready for a transfer to Bwindi Forest NP driving via Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Jungle (Budget / Midrange,), Chameleon Hill / Mahogany springs (luxury).
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trek and Batwa Pygmies
Rise early, enjoy your breakfast and assemble at the park offices for morning briefing on the trekking guidelines before embarking on this wonderful expedition through the thick dense canopy forest of Bwindi. Usually, it takes about 30 minutes to several hours to encounter the mountain gorillas; but once got, enjoy an hour with them before retrieving to the starting point (for Certificates of Participation) before retrieving your lodge. Later in the afternoon, head out for the Batwa pgymies tour for a clearer understanding of their culture. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Jungle (Budget / Midrange), Chameleon Hill / Mahogany springs (luxury).
Day 4: Return to Kigali and Departure
After morning breakfast; hit the road for your return trip to Kigali and with an early arrival engage in an amazing Kigali City Tour; visiting the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, National Museum and many other exceptional tourist centers within the city before drop off at either a hotel or airport for departure flight.
